Reload and Compare Folder Size Reports
FolderSizes can save folder size report data in XML file format, thus allowing you to re-load it later. It can also create a comparison view between two points in time, allowing you to quickly see what's changed.
Saving a Folder Size report as XML results in a small file that contains strictly folder-level data. They're great for making quick comparisons between folder heirarchies, allowing you to see which folders have grown or shrunk. They can also be consumed by the FolderSizes trend analyzer.
FolderSizes can also create snapshots, which capture full (file and folder) file system metadata. Since they include file-level details, you can use them to generate searches, file reports, and folder reports. Like XML reports, snapshots can be consumed by the FolderSizes trend analyzer.
